A new left over barbeque recipe

First I made Hasselback Potatoes or Swedish baked potatoes...
here is the link I used to make them....

Next put the potato on a bed of letus and then drizzle ranch on top:

Finally warm up the barbecue and put on top :) and enjoy

For Desert

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Baked in a Cast Iron Pan
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (9 ounces)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter and sugars until mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add egg and vanilla; mix until they are fully incorporated. Add flour mixture, and beat until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Transfer dough to a 10-inch ovenproof skillet (I sprayed mine with just a little cooking spray), and press to flatten, covering bottom of pan. Bake until edges are brown and top is golden, 40 to 45 minutes. Don't over bake; it will continue to cook a few minutes out of the oven.

And holy cow is it good!

Honeymoon-basic trainig-tech school

We enjoyde our hooneymoon at Gatlinburg, TN (5 days) and then to Burnsivell, Nc for my Birthday (3 days) Thats right I was married a week before my 19 th birthday.

There is nothing like getting to know someone or talking about intersting topics when your stuck in the car with them for about 14 hours.

Any way....

2 weeks later he was off to basic training and I was off to Floridia.

We talked about four times while he was gone and we wrote each other everyday.
I was busy taking care of my Aunt who had an anurism. I stayed with her for 3 weeks and helped until she was able to do things on her own. I then went to Mrytle Beach with a family I babysat for to help watch the kids.  Then it was back to home for a few day until we started the  drive to Texas. My dad, mom and younger brother and I  took vaction to drive down to Texas for Brents Graduation.

We stayed with my Uncle right outside Austin, Texas for a few days and then went to San Antonio.

I do not think I had ever been so excited then that first time I saw him after 6 weeks. Ofcourse there was no PDA allowed...boy did I feel like I was back in School. My parents and I  stayed on base in there hotel so there was so much time to fellowship and explore. We went sight seeing in San Antonio and on the base. But watch out if Brent sat down for more then 5 minitues because he would fall asleep.

Time went by so fast and the next thing I knew we were off to NC while he was off to Tech School.

I went back home to phone calls everyday and waiting for the time I would go for a visit him in San Angelo, TX. In the mean time I stayed off and on with my oldest brother and watched my neices.

At the end of August I went flew down to stay with my Uncle and then went to see my lovely husband on the weekends. Again we stayed on base and did a whole lot of nothing. Studying ans sleeping is how he got by and was the reason he was top of his class. I stayed for 3 weeks (week days with my Uncle and weekends with my honey) and left September 15th.

Back home it was to watch my neices and occasionally my nephews. Untill October 29th my husband came home :) Finally after a long 5 months we were back together.

Dating, Proposal and Wedding.

My husband and I met once or twice through our friends in high school but never talked. Although I secretly had a crush on him.

I was a Senior in High School and he had just graduated waiting to enlist in the Army when :

So one night I get this phone call and it was Brent (my husband) he asked if we could talk. Of course I was like sure so the conversation goes on and I end up going over to his house...Don't worry I took my brother and his girlfriend with me. So after a long night of talking and goofing of I was hooked. December 8th, 2006 we started dating.

We were inseparable. I saw him every morning before I went to High School and every afternoon after work on my way home and of course the weekends. After about a month of dating we new we wanted to get married...( yes, yes. I know we were young and had no clue what we were getting into) Two months after we started dating he asked me to marry him...and of course I said... YES!

January 31, 2007 I was at church when he called and said his car broke down if I could come out to the parking lot and help him. I went out to see what was going on and the hood and trunk were open on his car. He asked if I could get a tool out of the trunk. So I went to look for this tool in his trunk and there was only one tool laying out in the open. By this time I knew something was going on because I might be a girl but I know tools. I come back to give it to him and he was down on his knee :)

In this mist of all this Brent signed up for this Air Force that's right... after talking to my dad he changed his mind `and went from Army Infantry to an Air Force Firefighter.

Two weeks later my mom, grandma and I went dress shopping and found the dress of my dreams. We planned on getting maired December 8th of 2007 but when Brent's basic training date moved up we decide to move the wedding up to May 12, 2007.

So on May 12, 2007 I said I do to my lovely husband.

New

Heyy Yall. So I am new to this Blogger world and thought I might use it for everyday events as well as updates on the trials and tribulations of a disabled husband. (or at least that's what the
military says he is)

If there is any questions you have or want to know more about, just let me know.

Just a heads up... I am a horrible speller and hate grammar. So stay with me while I try to work through this challenge.

So I think I will rewind a few years
